Open letter to Rep Waters

An open letter to Rep Maxine Waters....

Dear Representative Waters,

What have you been smoking?

Wasn't it only last week that you were questioning the President on what he has done for black Americans?

You are sure on a tear now, when you tell the tea party to go to hell!

Now, Rep Waters, I am not sure what your gripe really is...as I try to make sense of the insensible it seems that you have a problem with the way this President is dealing with the economy, and in particular with the way he has failed to achieve anything for the black population ....it also appears that you are now directing your ire at the tea party who have had absolutely no influence on the President's policies.

You see, Rep Waters, as much as you may hate to accept this, there are a number of things you need to know:-

1. It is not the presidents job to favor one group of Americans over another. He should treat all Americans the same, whether black, white, red or green. The fact that the President uses his half blackness as a way to get the black American vote is irrelevant to what he does for black Americans.

The truth is that in this case the President has been correct. He has shown no favor to blacks, and has screwed everybody with no distinction as to color. Blacks and whites alike have been totally screwed over by this pretender. I find your assertion that he has done nothing for blacks unconscionable!

2.  It appears that your concern is largely directed at the economy and the fact that unemployment within the black community is higher than within the white community. I suspect there is some merit in that claim. I suspect black unemployment in some areas is around 17% compared with 10% for whites in those same areas. However, in the interests of fairness and assuming those numbers are correct, blacks must then receive 63% of the unemployment benefits while whites get only 37%! And...if we take those numbers to the national level, more whites are paying benefits to keep blacks sitting on their duffs at home in Section 8 housing and selling drugs on the side....ooops, got carried away there....that would NEVER happen, right?

Yeah, right!

3. Let's talk about the economy. You are supposed to be a smart lady...so please, tell me where, in the constitution, that the federal government is responsible for the economy? Where is it? Can you point me to it?

No?

Didn't think so. Do you know why that is? Because it is NOT there! Now here is another fact for you. Every time the government gets involved in economics, they screw it up. The law of intended consequences takes over. The same with ecology. Let's bring some bug in to kill off another bug...and soon enough the imported bug becomes a bigger problem than what you had to start with.

Government needs to get out of the economy game. It is not needed or wanted, and everything it does to manipulate the economy just screws it up more.

In the case of your beloved President, I have my doubts whether his meddling in the economy if even with good intentions. While he is a moron, I suspect he has advisers who know what they are actually doing and are rubbing their hands together in glee.

4. Let me say this slowly so that even a dumb ass like you can understand.....the Tea Party is NOT a party in the political sense. It holds not a single seat in Congress. The closest it has come is that it has chosen to support members of a political party that already exists. The tea party is a grass roots movement of activists who promote smaller government, less spending, less waste and less government interference in our lives.

You can tell the tea party to go to hell, or use any other unacceptable rhetoric you desire to use. It will not change the tea party one iota...all it will do, Rep Waters, is show the world who YOU are.

IN case you have never listened to any speeches by Robert Kennedy (I suspect someone you MAY have heard of before)...it may behoove you to read this....

"What is objectionable, what is dangerous about extremists is not that they are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say about their cause, but what they say about their opponents." [Robert F. Kennedy, 1964]

Did you get it?

.....devereaux
